Dreamstime has announced on it's website that the agency plans to introduce posters and canvases sells. This is a new service and all royalty free images are eligible for this option. Editorial and Free Photos will be excluded. According to the agency, ordering will be fast and easy to use. Similar to image download, prints will be be purchased on-line, in a matter of seconds. Prices are kept minimal by using the following pricing model: production costs + RF pricing (maximum size, credits only, levels apply). Contributor royalties & agency share calculation is based on the same formula used for regular downloads. This allows the company to provide the lowest prices for this type of products. As the service is directed towards the consumer, Dreamstime is enabling them to print the images directly from the website, instead of having to go to a different provider. A single copy will be ordered and the terms will prohibit the reselling of these items (this avoids conflicts with Dreamstime's EL licensing). There is no opt-out from this program as the usage fits the regular terms normally applied. This new option aims to attract new customers to Dreamstime website and at the same time, to help customers already using their images for this purpose. Currently the feature is in beta testing and will go live soon.
